Use of Equipment
• The scissor lift must be used:
• Only for its intended purpose (lifting people/tools vertically).
• On suitable ground conditions (level, stable surfaces).
• Misuse (e.g., overloading, using as a crane) is prohibited.
Insurance & Liability
• You’re responsible for:
• Loss, theft, or damage during the hire period
• Public liability while using the machine
Theft & Security
• You must secure the lift when not in use.
• Theft is usually your responsibility unless insured.
Damage & Cleaning
• You may be charged for:
• Physical damage beyond normal wear and tear
• Excessive dirt, paint, concrete, etc.
Hire term Fees
- Option 1: Pay £200 Deposit
• You pay £200 to secure the scissor lift.
• If you cancel, within 24 hours you’ll likely lose the deposit
• Your financial risk is capped at £200.
- Option 2: No Deposit, Sign Agreement
• You don’t pay any deposit upfront.
• But if you cancel within 24 hours of the hire start date, you must pay the full hire fee.
• That could be significantly more than £200 depending on the rental length.
